Chess Matrix: Defeating the February Bots

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the ChessMatrix! Today we will be covering how to beat the February bots!

Every month, Chess.com releases five or six new bots. These typically range in rating from 200 (sometimes 100!) to 3000 (or more!).

This month, February, has 5 bots rated 275-2999. The bots are (mostly) based on Valentine's Day, which is on the 14th of February, just 12 days away!

Sometimes Chess.com will also make a new background and chess set to go with the theme of the month. Occasionally they will make a chess set per bot (if you play against Bot A, you play with Chess Set A, if you play against Bot B, you play with Chess Set B, etc)

Here are the bots:

Bot #1:

Bachelor #1

Rating: 275

Weakness: Tactics

"Bachelor #1" is really Martin (a 250 elo chess bot) pretending to be someone else. He often jokes about his 12 stepkids.

Rating: 875

Weakness: Tactics (Not as much as Bachelor #1 though)

Bot #3:

DJ Ron Passant

Rating: 1350

Weakness: Tactics (Less than Ghosted Bot though)

Bot #4:

Trisha

Rating: 1875

Weakness: Tactics (But very complex ones)

Bot #5:

Goose

Rating: 2999

Weakness: None?
