The Journey Of Becoming A Grandmaster In Chess

Chess is an intense game. Why? Well, chess is really hard because it requires skill and brain power. And this game is recognized as one of the most hardest sport in the planet Earth. So, if you want to master this specific game. Believe in yourself. Playing chess is not just only bragging but to have fun. Mistakes are not the ones who are discouraging you. You are the one who are discouraging mistakes. Don't be too excited, there is always a way to lose.

Are There Requirements To Be A Grandmaster?

Yes, there are requirements to become a grandmaster.

These requirements are:

1) Your FIDE Elo may at least be 2500 or more.

2) Achieve 3 GM Norms.

A GM norm can be achieved by joining a tournament with at least 9 rounds and 50% of participants must be a grandmaster and have favorable results in that tournament and must have a 2600 performance rating.

Repeat until you have three of these norms and you automatically have a GM title.

Congratulations!

How can you gain FIDE rating?

You gain FIDE rating by winning official tournament games. But, you can lose rating points by losing a game. Although, you may lose rating points. But, don't worry. There is a thing called Chess Psychology which I will explain in a future blog. You can watch GothamChess to learn about it.

This is all the things I can explain about the title, Wish you all luck!
