CHiPs is an American crime drama television series that originally aired from September 15, 1977 to May 1, 1983. It primarily follows the lives of two motorcycle officers (John Baker and Francis "Ponch" Poncherello) of the California Highway Patrol (CHP). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CHiPs)

In season 5 episode 21 (The Game of War), the CHP decide to have a chess tournament. In one scene, Harlan Arliss and Arthur "Grossie" Grossman decide to have game on Grossman's day off. The two agree not to quit until a winner is determined. After playing all night, Grossman realizes that he might win the game. In his excitement as he grabs his rook and stands up, he accidentally overturns the board spilling all the pieces. Ponch says he threw the game and lost. Grossman argues that he has not taken his finger off the rook, which he is still holding. Arliss holds out his hand to accept victory, and Grossman reluctantly concedes.

Have you ever lost a game because you accidentally messed up the pieces?
