Tips to convert winning positions!

Introduction: 

Have you ever gotten a winning position, but then you throw the advantage? Well I am sure you have done that, but in this blog I will help you stop making those mistakes! I will give you tips, and then I will give 1-3 examples! I will also give you a puzzle at the end to test yourself if you learned anything in this random blog!

Tips and examples:

1. Trade pieces(sometimes not equal)

It is very hard to win a position without trading. You can even give up something to do it! 

This was a simple example of trading pieces. We checked the king to force a trade! Now I am going to show you a harder position.

In this position, we sacrificed a piece to trade the pieces. I think you might see that traducing helps a lot!

I hope you liked that example! In that example, we sacrificed our queen to make it simple for us.(this example also fits the next tip.

2. Avoid complications

This tip may seem simple, but this is what most of us do. I will give you examples of what “complications” mean in chess.

In this example, white was completely winning, but  white went for his ideas, then the game became tricky and became easy to make a mistake.
3. Go after your opponent’s king
Sometimes, it is better to attack the opponent’s king than trading pieces. 
That was a nice example where our attack came crashing though! I am going to show you 1 last example!
In this puzzle I did not comment because there are too many variations to cover, but did you like the king move idea I hope you did!
