My Best Games #6: KO After 16 Moves | Alekhine-Chatard Gambit

Welcome back to my blog series on my best games! This time we'll be examining another attacking gambit game.
The opening in this game started as a Main Line Classical French. I love playing against this because I can mold it into an Alekhine-Chatard Gambit, also known as the Alekhine-Chatard Attack (1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Bg5 Be7 5. e5 Nfd7 6. h4!?). I mentioned this opening in the last blog, where I used a similar idea although it wasn't a gambit. You can see the game in my last blog by clicking the link below:
You should check it out if you like seeing a king chased around the board.
In today's game my opponent was @kingfanisto. At the time of the game they were rated 2103. Unfortunately for them now it dropped to 1882, although they had a peak rating of 2139. Back then I was reaching for 2000, just 14 points short, but this game tightened the gap to 3 points.
In the game today, it was very interesting watching the computer evaluations. Many times the computer would give an evaluation, for example -x.yz, and then after a few moves in which both players played the most accurate moves according to the computer, the evaluation would change drastically to (example again) +y.xz. This just goes to show that the computer analysis tool isn't perfect, although it is being worked on.
This game was one of the shortest that I've ever played (but still not the shortest!), lasting only 16 moves. I'm going to show you probably the shortest that I've ever played, a very long time ago. The eight moves that it lasted were pure joy for me.
Doesn't really help to get better at chess, but it is entertaining...
Back to the main game today!

Interesting, right?

Now for today's second game. This is another one that I already posted in SPL forums. It just goes to show that even high rated players can make mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake after blunder after blunder after missed win after another blunder after game-losing blunder after missed win...

Feeling shocked by how many question marks there were? Yeah. Me too.

Well, since today's my 7th blog post, I thought I should celebrate my first complete week of blogging. So here are some puzzles I picked out for you!

There'll be more puzzles next time! Thanks for reading!
