My Best Games: Introduction to my Best Games Series and About Me
Hello everyone and welcome to the first blog of this series!
Over the next few weeks my upcoming blog posts will present to you some of my best games, all played here on chess.com. They will be fully annotated, so that you can play through the games and give me feedback on both how I and my opponent played and the annotations. If I made a mistake in annotating, please feel free to say so in the comments below, any and all feedback is highly encouraged.
A large majority of the games that I will be posting will have been played in the 10|0 time control, quite fast, almost blitz, so you will see some exciting chess. Don't be surprised is some games are filled to the brim with blunders, mistakes, and time-pressure, that's what makes this so fun! There will be swashbuckling Sicilian attacks and "quiet" positional crushes, and you'll get to see a lot of different openings.
I hope that this blog will help everyone out there on this wonderful site improve and enjoy chess more, just as I do.
Now, a little bit about me.
My name is Johannes Chow. I've lived in the U.S. for my whole life minus two months(!). This is probably unexpected to a lot of you who I've met in clubs and games, but I'm twelve years old; 😲😲😲. I know, right?
Ok, so I learned to play chess when I was five or six, but at that time I was, to be honest, a complete scrub. I basically just knew how to move the pieces and tried for scholar's mate every time... seems so far away. Now that I've started to play and study chess seriously, I got to a decent level, where I am now. Unfortunately I'm still unrated because COVID-19 crushed my hopes of going to rated tournaments and getting a rating... 😟
My favorite openings are the King's Indian Defense and Attack, the Ruy Lopez, the French, and the Sicilian for both sides. FYI: I love playing against 1. d4. If I were you and you were playing me, I wouldn't play d4. Just saying.
So anyway, back to the game review.
I've already posted nine of my best games in a club forums in the Sacred Pawn Legion (great club). I will post the forums below, but you might not be able to view them if you're not a member of the Sacred Pawn Legion. If you can or can't please let me know in the comments, and if you can't I'll just repost them in this blog.
My Best Games #1: King's Indian Defense
My Best Games #2: Katalimov Sicilian
My Best Games #2: Closed Sicilian
My Best Games #4: Sicilian Dragon Kingside Attack
My Best Games #5: Trying the Kan
My Best Games #6: KIA Positional Crush
My Best Games #7: Crazy KID Sacrifice
My Best Games #8: Yet ANOTHER King's Indian Defense Attacking Game...!
My Best Games #9: Compare this one to the last Dragon game... literally almost the exact same
And now for a GIF preview of the first game. If you're a SPL member or you clicked on the first link above you've already seen this, but this is for those who are new to the series. By the way, this game was played a while ago so the ratings are very different from how they are today.

Hope you liked it!
I will see you all next time when I post the first game with full analysis. Thanks!
