Off Topic Trivia
The Japanese destroyer Amagiri (天霧 "Clouded Sky") was the 15th of 24 Fubuki-class destroyers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy. This class of destroyers was the most powerful destroyer class in the world when introduced into service, and served as first-line destroyers in the 1930s.

On the 2nd of August, 1943, the Amagiri was returning from a normal supply run to Vila. While returning, it rammed and sank the American boat PT-109. It is widely believed that this was unintentional, as it was hard to distinguish PT-109 in the darkness due to its small size and lack of lights. However interviews with surviving crew members of the Amagiri post-war reveal that the captain, Lt Commander Hanami Kohei, ordered the helmsman to steer for the PT-109 and ram it.
Question: Who was the captain of the PT-109?
Hint: You know him. You have heard about him. You can tell anyone his full name in your sleep. Just think. Think about an American.
That's the question for today. It is an easy one for me, but for you it might be tougher. Don't worry if you fail this one, you will have more chances soon!
P.S. Answer will be posted in my next blog!
