My Chinese Chess Set

Whilst travelling in China many years ago, I picked up this chess set. I got it because it is small and ‘packable’. The pottery pieces look ancient, authentic and beautiful but aren’t actually very easy to play with as some of the pieces look too similar to each other (eg bishop/queen). For this reason, I very rarely play with it but it is still very nice to look at occasionally. 

They remind me of the life size terracotta army in China.
