Let us see how this example was going on
First they played
E4 Then E5 this is the most popular opening because it lets you open the lines for the bishop and queen.
now we should always bring knights out first in the opening because they have less options whereas bishops have lot more options. We should not bring queens out too early because then they get attacked and the opponent will have a solid position.
We should always keep our pieces in the center because once your grip is gone from the center, you will not be able to keep the position solid.
You should be developing in the opening because if you don't develop, then you will lose tempo.
Tempo means that you will repeatedly move a piece whilst your opponent is developing, and they will easily win.
You should always castle to make your king safe, and the pieces of your opponent can't easily attack you.
this was for the opening.
Now middle game.
Never move a pawn ahead from your castled king unless needed. Otherwise, your opponent can see the weakness of your square and your king and easily attack you.
You should also develop your queen like the example above and the queen should always be on a active square like you can see the queen on e2 it is more active and also may create threats with the bishop to form a battery and attack the black king.
Then after you did that, you should develop your rooks to semi-open or open files so that they become more powerful and can attack a lot.
In the middle game you should mainly make a plan that if you get for example 3 moves in a row what would you do. Then think if I play this what threats captures or attacks does my opponent have. You have to also think about your opponent's move otherwise you may miss something, and the opponent does that and then you lose suddenly.
