Fischer after beating Spassky (and his secret wife).
After beating Spassky the Soviet Champion in 1972 Bobby James Fischer toured many countries in Asia Hong Kong, Philippines, Japan etc.
His tour in 1973 was sponsored by Marcos Family a Political/Royal Philippine family very influential he lived with this family for year.
The Marcos and Fischer seem to enjoy spending time together at the time Fischer was the most famous person in the world he still chose to spend his time with The Marcos.

After Fischer’s visit in Philippines he went to Tokyo and visited the Japan Chess Association to find sponsors for a possible rematch with Spassky. It was here that he first met Miyoko Watai (4 times Woman Chess Champion in Japan) in 1973, who eventually became Bobby's longtime girlfriend, later married and was with him when he died.
Fischer and Miyoko had a beautiful relationship, no matter what life threw at them they stayed together.
Bobby Fischer was detained in Japan from July 2004 to March 2005 at Narita International Airport for attempting to travel with a revoked U.S. passport
Fischer, who was held in a Japanese facility, reported poor conditions, including being placed in solitary confinement for a dispute over a boiled egg. He and his supporters (such as his partner Miyoko Watai) claimed the detention was a "kidnapping" orchestrated by the U.S. government.
The Icelandic government offered him a residency permit. The Icelandic President ignored Americas attempt to stop it and gave him residency.
Fischer and his wife Miyoko in Iceland he looks rough reason being this is right after his detention.
Miyoko stayed with Fischer until he died in January 17, 2008 .
Miyoko now lives in Kamata ward at the age of 81.
Despite everything life threw at them Bobby James Fischer and Miyoko Watai Fischer stayed together until the end, a beautiful couple.
