Not only was this the start of a new year, but a new era.  With the publication of the end of the year suppliment, I had now officially moved over 1400 and would never look back (if only I could say that about the next several levels...).  Anyway, my first official tournament over 1400 would be an Octet, not a true U1800.  And as luck would have it, I would be one of the higher rated players in my draw, which allowed me to extend my winning streak even further, to 15 games (+13 =2 -0).  Amazingly enough, I ended up taking, yet another draw against Les.
