1992 Golden Knights
In 1992 I played in the Golden Knights, a multi-round USCF correspondence tournament. Back then all moves were sent via postcard. Unfortunately as a busy college student I dropped out before I finished all my games. I only have the score from this one game that I won. Since online records for USCF correspondence do not go back this far, I don't have access to a crosstable to how my preliminary section finished.
My opponent passed away in 2020. Based on the comments looks like he was a well-regarded chess player in Kentucky. Just in the online records (which only go back to 1991 - he played 1134 events!

Here's the annotated game. My favorite move was 18...Be5, which I was quite proud of at the time but the modern engines say was a mistake.
