Is Time Control becoming the main reason we win or lose chess?

Should Chess.com create more TCO 's? (Time Control Options)

Welcome to my first ever blog post! I would like to talk about one of the biggest things in chess - timers. If you've been in a tournament before, you know you normally have clocks off to the side, usually to help if you are notating, but otherwise just to time the game and make sure it doesn't go on forever (sometimes it can change a calm game to a frantic game). If you have ever played a game on Chess.com before, which i'm betting you have, you know that you have the freedom of choosing your favorite time control, something you don't usually have access to in tournaments. But maybe there should be more time control options on Chess.com?! Now, I know a lot of people will say "Oh, you can just use Custom Time, can't you?!". And while, yes, this is perfectly reasonable, when was the last time you used custom for a match and actually found a person with a close enough rating with the exact same number of minutes, seconds, and increments? Probably never. So maybe, even if it's one or two more time control options, would you think this might help Chess.com? If anybody from Chess.com sees this and thinks this is a reasonable idea, maybe hold a raffle where the most popular time control becomes an actual option? Just an idea. Everybody, tell me in the comments below what you think, and if you are a Chess.com staff member, maybe say if this is a reasonable idea. Thanks!
