Does worshiping Satan improve chess skills?
A while ago, I read this question on the chess.com community forum:
Does worshiping Satan improve chess skills?
At first I laughed at this but then thought and did some research.
The devil helping gifted people is a commonplace of many myths and legends, which served in ancient times to explain the origin of some artists' uncommon skills. Although some people are born with a particular talent in the fields of music, mathematics, programming and chess, to reach certain levels of skill, of course, in addition to talent, also a lot of practice and continuous training are required. Speaking of the game of chess in particular, talent, study and training go beyond the religious beliefs or philosophies professed by any player. Some V.I.P. use the devil's name to advertise themselves and to appear in all newspapers, blogs and websites.
The devil (Lucifer, Satan, Iblis or with many other names you would like to call him), belongs to the religious sphere, therefore an inhabitant of another dimension that is not the earthly and human world.
It deserves a long separate discussion, but in this way we would leave our area of expertise.
People credit their successes or failures to this or that deity.
In my opinion, (but this is just my opinion, no one is offended) every action comes from human skills.
Everyone is free to believe and adhere to any religion or philosophy and to spread their beliefs on any means of communication, without hate speech and toxic behaviors.
