Coach vs dsachs 0-1
Beat my coach again! :)
I have been experimenting with different ways to play Black against d4. Since I don't play d4 myself I'm not very familiar with the defences Black can choose from. My criteria for selecting an opening is pretty straightforward. I'm not interested in how the opening scores at the Grandmaster level since I don't play anywhere near there. I also aim to play unusual openings that are on the edge of popular theory. This way I can bring the game into a variation my opponent may have neglected in their preparation. Thirdly, I aim for openings with a clear plan for Black.
So, I've started looking at the Old Indian Defence. More on this later. But here's the game.
