Back from Kitchener
I'm finally back home after a long weekend at the Kitchener Winter Open. After a mediocre performance in my first tournament (3/5 U1500) I came back with a bang to take first place in the U1700 section with a 4/5 score (3 wins, 2 draws). I'm still not entirely satisfied with my play but it was nice to win some cash, free books, and a trophy to put on the mantle. A win like this inspires me to study even harder and make a good showing at the Hamilton Winter Open next weekend.
Oh and Farbror....my copy of "how to play good opening moves" has 136 pages.
