Eric's book reviews!

I thought I would share some of my book experience with you by writing some short reviews of chess books I have read so far. I'll post a new review every so often.

To begin!

Attacking Chess: by Josh Waitzkin

- This book is lots of fun for a beginner, its pretty light on actual chess work but this was the first book I ever bought and I absolutely loved it. It's basically a set of explanations of the different tactics (pins, skewers etc...) and a couple of  related problems to help you get the idea. Each tactic is seperated by chapter and comes with some childhood tales courtesy of Waitzkin. Josh's stories are always entertaining and the problems can tax the mind. I would recommend this as a gift for anyone just picking up chess.
