Return from London
The London March Open was a single-day 4 round 60min per game tournament with 2 sections (U1700 and pro). I finished with 3.5/4 and shared first place in the U1700 section. Good times!
Rounds 1 and 2 were played against much weaker players than me, but in round 3 I played someone with a similar rating to myself and beat him easily. In the last round I played a 1600+ opponent and drew him with black. He and I shared the first and second prize.
My final opponent played the ultra lame Torre Attack and I was able to get an advantage with black quite easily, but it petered out into a draw. This has inspired me to learn more about these lame d-pawn openings (colle, london, torre) so I can crush the poor bums who play them.
