Giving up something for Lent?

I've never taken on a Lenten practice, but on little more than a whim, I decided yesterday to try to abstain from... resigning! I actually resign quite a lot in live games. Pretty much any time I make a blunder (which is often), I resign immediately. I have always known this is a bad habit, but until now I've never really challenged myself to break it.

I had a chance to test my resolve against a strong opponent who took advantage of some less-than-stellar play on my part. Turns out I had a chance to prove the truth of the old adage: "No one ever won a chess game by resigning."
