The Scotch opening has been seen in all levels of Chess, and I hope this blog convinces you to play just opening . this is quite a good opening especially for beginners and intermediates, yet this opening seems to be gone out of date.

What makes this opening so good is that normally you would have to move the D- PAWN to develop your other Bishop, but by trading it already, you can have a very active and an open game, which is perfect for beginners do not complicate things.

if you ask my opinion, the best for beginners is the classical variation which is

Nxc6

As it is much more simpler to play. Also, don’t fall for this mini trap ( warning for lower rated players)

After taking the Knight, You just develop your pieces like any other opening. Most of the time you will be castling queenside and use the semi open file for your Rook.

this is one of the main reasons why getting bishops to early is bad if they can be a target.

There is also the Scotch gambit

Here is an ultra-aggressive opening, which can result in your loss or a quick win! (Recommended for attacking players)
