Rest In Peace, Danya Naroditsky
Yesterday was a dreadful day in the chess world.
Our beloved Daniel Naroditsky has passed away. I wish everyone would now take a few minutes (or seconds) to remember him and all he has done for the chess world. Many people may just know him as a GM, or a chess commentator. But to others, including me, he was a lot more. He was a smart, kind, and great man who was known throughout the community to turn difficult chess lessons into easy ones.
As most of us probably know, Danya's cause of death is currently unknown. Some people believe one of these may be the reason:
1.) Mental Health Issues
Mental Health can be a big problem if not taken care of, especially these days when su*cide rates are higher than ever. We know it wasn't su*cide, but this brilliant chess master's death could have been caused by a disease caused by bad mental heath
2.) Drug Use
While this speculation may not be the best one, many have speculated that drug use may be the cause of death. They believe that in his latest stream before his death, he was seen twitching and acting abnormal. Some people believe these are signs of drug use.
3.) Foul Play
I'm sure most of us know about how GM Vladimir Kramnik has suggested this cause of death, and how some agree and some disagree. Kramnik and his followers do not have much evidence, but it still is a popular speculation.
Personally, I would like to wait and see what his family will release about the matter, and I hope it isn't anything too bad. What do you think? Drop a comment down below and i'll try my best to respond to them with my opinion.
R.I.P Danya, fly high.
