Can early sacrifices really help winning games?
Can an early pawn sacrifice lead to a better position & subsequently win the game? The usual answer to this question is " DEPENDS ON THE POSITION". Yes this is as correct as bright is sun, but sometimes it is too early to even evaluate the position in a game. & then your intuition becomes the only one which may give you a call, whether to do it or not.
