My first book about mathematics
Last week I have received the very first copy of my first book from Mr. Köll, a master in bookbinding, in Innsbruck/Tyrol. He stands at the left-hand side:

I have written this book as a journey through mathematics. It consists of almost 400 colourful pictures and illustrations. When the sun light hits the cover, the golden letters sparkle. People who are able to dream by day will think of a magical book.

My book is based on my notebooks. Here you can see some of them. Sometimes I directly type what I want to explain, sometimes I write it down on paper first.

The whole process - from mind to paper, into software, to the designer, to the printing company and finally to the book binder was very exciting.

The German "Urdruck" means very first copy of a book. After all this work, this is a milestone for me. It is no longer a dream or a goal but reality.

We start with basics like calculation of percentage and the rule of three but during our journey we will also master RSA-encrypting and complex numbers.
The 297 exercises will be solved step by step. To some problems I provide alternative solutions so that every reader has a real chance to grasp the idea.

At page 498 I explain a pseudo code not only with text but with an illustration as well.
Basic information
591 pages
30 chapters and 13 appendices
394 coloured pictures and illustrations
297 exercises (including programming) that are solved step by step
23 paragraphs of philosophical reflections.
It was my dream to write this book and I did it! Future will tell if/how I can make this book available for the general public. I look forward to your comments and questions here.
