Sometimes I play quickly the first 2-3 moves without really realising what my opponent plays. This results in disasters or playing a strange opening I usually do not play... or never play.

This time my moves lead to the Perseus gambit in the french opening. I have no idea how to play this gambit... My opponent strangely refuted the free pawn. Maybe he got afraid of a trap or he played quickly like me happy.

We continued playing some variation of the advanced french and since I do not play it frequently and haven't studied the course of Simon Williams (because I am lazy)... I realise at some point that I am going to lose my rook... However, after thinking for some time I prepare a trap. He wants my rook? I will trap his queen!! He did not realise my plan in time so I trapped his queen, but the points of material were equal. I had a queen, a rook, a bishop and a knight, but he had 2 rooks, two bishops and a knight (plus a pawn).

I knew this would be hard to win in case I did too many exchanges, so the only thing I tried to do is exchange the bishop. I did not want him to have two rooks and the bishop pair...

At some point I attacked. I missed a forced mate in 2, but found a similar idea and mated my opponent. Very interesting game! Study it!
