How to win against the Halloween gambit

It is the second time (at least) I remember facing this opening trap. The first time must have been before some weeks and... I lost! If you are not ready against these traps you may lose quickly... Despite the fact I did not remember exactly the analysis of the older game, my instinct worked better and I did not advance my knight after it got attacked by the pawns (maybe some part of my memory worked). I did some inaccuracies and my advantage was only -0,6!!! despite being up a knight. However my opponent also misplayed the continuation and soon he gave me a tactical chance to finish the game.
