Tactical game: pinned piece, pawn fork threat, trapping a bishop and back rank mate
During the last two days I have played some really good games. Yesterday, I played a blitz game at 96% accuracy (for 33 moves) against an equivalent 1700 rated in blitz opponent (who played at 88% accuracy). After this game I won an almost 2000 rated in rapid opponent reaching my highest rating in rapid (1967) despite not playing at high accuracy.
However, the game I enjoyed a lot was a blitz game I just played winning an almost 1700 rated opponent. Despite the fact I had 1 miss, 1 mistake and a few inaccuracies, I was able to play at almost 88% accuracy. Every time my opponent thought that he had decreased my advantage, I would always find a tactic to win more material and keep or increase my advantage! I feel for him!! I was always one step ahead... and I have to admit I was lucky to always have a good tactic to find.
The strong tactics I found were:
1. winning his knight by pinning it to the king and attacking it twice
2. trapping his bishop (after he managed to defend against a threat to fork him)
3. finding a forced mate in 2 at a point my queen was attacked. I was calm and completely ignored the threat as I found (in 2 seconds) a forced back rank mate in 2 moves. My opponent resigned!
I hope you enjoy this tactical game as much as I did myself:
