Playing Ray Robson 1

Nov 18, 2010, 8:05 AM |

This Sunday I get to play Ray Robson in Sarasota, FL. So do 29 other area chess players as part of a 30 game simultaneous exhibition taking place at Selby Library.

Over the next few days and perhaps weeks I will share the experience of being involved in, what seems to me is, a rare opportunity for someone with a very humble chess background to play a grandmaster;  And not just any grandmaster but the grandmaster that broke Bobby Fischer's record as the youngest US grandmaster.  He also is, I believe, the current youngest grandmaster in the world.

I hope that you find these short posts amusing.
