ChatGPT vs Bard AI - AI Chess Tournament
Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to what might be the first online AI chess tournament. Currently, the best chess AI is Stockfish, but I want to test this fact. Will Stockfish defend its name and reputation, or lose?
In the first round, we got two powerful AIs - Bard AI, and ChatGPT. I WAS SHOCKED when I researched the two AIs and their chess skills. I immediately knew who would win between those two. But I would like to keep it hidden for creating more suspense.
I would not like to stall you guys from seeing the match, but I wanted to tell you guys about the other AIs who would likely be in this tournament (NOTE: These are just some of the AIs):
- Magnus Carlsen from PlayMagnus
- Stockfish
- Stockfish (Lichess)
- Stockfish (Chess.com)
- Ding Liren
- Daniel "Danya" Naroditsky
- Danny Rensch
- Luk.AI
These are the AIs that I could use in the future for our tournament. Ok, now I present you to the first game of the first round:
Bard AI (White) vs ChatGPT (Black):
When I reviewed this game, the game review had told me that ChatGPT had played with 81.3% accuracy and Bard AI had played with 72.8% accuracy.
Every move up till d6 was a book move. The computer had told that d6 was an inaccuracy, d4 was better. White then plays an inaccuracy by playing d3 instead of c3. Be3 was an mistake. Bard AI had blundered a fork after 7...d5 8.exd5 exd5 9.Bb3 d4 (forking the bishop and knight). Also, black had blundered by playing Nd4.
Stay tuned for the next game of the first round! And please check out the second chess AI tournament series from my alt account CoderProPlayer.
