3 Check For Beginners Parts Two: Attacking The Castled King
The ability to castle makes 3 check hard to play at times. Here i will discuss what i do when my opponent castles. Here is a game where the opponent focusses on castling and defending (actual game).
In this game, the knights were important in the victory. Even though the bishop got the first check, the game still would've been won with the knights. Because knights can jump around, they make attacking the castle easy. Here are a few knight based strategies that will work if or if not your opponent bases their whole strategy on castling.
Im sorry, white missed a check, but still white had won
. The knights can secure victory in situations like this. Since the kings knight defends well when castling, stunting this pieces development by moving knights to the center blocks it from developing to the center. If it does, white will trade pieces and get a check. The knights are key here, as well
Black desperately tried to defend but white had opened up the kingside with the knight. I hoped you liked my series on 3 check!
