KOTH- Castling

This will be a short post today, i don't have much to cover and i'm writing this in between quick 30 sec KOTH games in live.

Here is a warm up KOTH puzzle, this should be pretty easy.

Today i will explain how castling plays a part in KOTH. The way i see it, castling gets the rooks involved and controlling the center files. Here is a position when both players have all pawns, 2 rooks, an 2 knights. However, white cannot castle.

This shows how castling activates the rooks fast to win the center files. Castling can also be dangerous.

For example, if your rooks are not guarding the center files soon after you castle, you can soon find yourself trapped on the edge of the board.

Castling can also take advantage of players who try to move their king to the center right away, because while they focus on their king you can focus on development.
