Thoughts and tips about bullet chess
Hey fellow chess players!
I have played chess on chess.com for some months now, since october 2010. I learnt the rules of chess when I was 7-8 years old (I'm 14 now). My current best rating (my bullet rating) is 1801, a rating I am very happy about considering the few months I have begun playing chess seriously.
I will start this blog by stating how happy I am about the sites very usable and learning features.
This blog entry is going to be about bullet chess. I play mostly bullet chess, my current bullet rating in the moment of writing is 1812. So I feel that I could at least give share my games with the players rated below me.
Okay, so let's get right to it; Bullet chess.
The first game I would like to share with you is this one, it is a one minute game I played:
So a good word of advice I can give you is to play very aggresively in bullet games. Keep up constant threats against your opponents pieces. It is much easier to play an agressive game.
I can recommend the opening 1. g3, with the following fianchetto of the bishop. I used that opening a bit into the 1600s. After that I started playing mostly 1, d4, or 1. e4.
And a very good advice I can also give you is this: Don't be too focused on developing your pieces fast! Your opponent might have an early mate in for you! Like in this game:
So while your following your plan, look out for your opponents too. He might have a dangerous tactic ready for you.
So that's all for now, all comments and feedback appreciated!
