Between June 1-9, 2020, the Moldavian Chess Federation and the Hannibal Chess Academy organize the International Chess Festival Cireșar 2020 with four tournaments for 8, 10, 12 and 14 years old kids.

June is the time of year when the cherries ripen, and the children enjoy eating these small, red and very sweet fruits.
In Moldova, the month of June is called, for this reason, Cireșar, in free translation The one with Cherries.

Taking advantage of the fact that June 1 is International Children's Day and the restrictions imposed during the pandemic, The Moldavian Chess Federation has joined forces with the Hannibal Chess Academy to organize a standard chess festival for children passionate about the game of kings.

Take your time, fill the registration form below and join us for a week full of chess and excitement! The Festival is a fundraiser for the Moldavian Chess Federation. The remaining financial surplus will be donated for the benefit of the chess players from this country.
