I shocked myself!
Hello yall! Its been a while since I last blogged, but youre in for a treat!
Earlier today, I was playing a chess game against my friend Azure_Redux. Around a month or two ago, he was only around 500 elo, and now, hes almost 1000 elo, nearly 200 elo higher than me. When I played against him, of course I knew I had little chance of winning the game, but it was unrated, so I wouldnt lose any elo. I somehow won that game in 55 moves, but when I checked game review, it said I had done something that I had only done maybe 6 or 7 times in the past- I made a brilliant move!!!! On move 29, I played Nc2, sacrificing my knight so I could win a rook. I knew this was a good move, but I had no idea it would be a brilliant move, as my opponent was 1000 elo, and he actually knew what he was doing. I remained ahead in the game until move 53, near the end of the game, when, according to the analysis, I blundered, but I was still barely ahead, and just 2 moves later, my opponent ran out of time. Since this was unrated, though, I didnt gain any elo, but Im still very happy that I got a brilliant move!
Thanks to all who read this, and a huge thanks to Azure_Redux for playing chess with me. Cheers yall!🍺🍺🍺🍺
