Rook and king vs king mate:

.Build a Box: Use the Rook to "fence in" the opponent's King, limiting its escape squares. Place the Rook on a rank or file to confine the enemy King.
.Bring Your King: Bring your King closer to support the Rook and further restrict the opponent's King's movement. Your King acts as a barrier, preventing the enemy King from escaping toward the center of the board.
.Shrink the Box: Gradually shrink the "box" by moving the Rook closer to the opponent's King, forcing it towards the edge of the board. Important Note: Be careful not to stalemate the opponent's King when shrinking the box.
.Opposite Kings: When the King is directly opposite the opponent's King, and the Rook is on the same rank or file as their King, checkmate is near.
.Deliver the Mate: When the opponent's King is on the edge of the board and your King is directly opposite, deliver checkmate with the Rook on the same rank/file.
