The Journal to Knitehood #0: Packing our Bags
As I sat there getting ready to click on the 'Start Streaming' button in OBS, I began to contemplate whether I was really ready for another "REBOOT" of the journey. Was it really worth starting it all over again, another attempt at the pain and suffering!
I was reminded of Jbrazel when he tells the chat, "HarlemKnite loses so you won't have to!" That really encouraged me believe it or not. It reminded me of why I started streaming chess!
As a beginner\novice chess player back when I first joined chess.com I was blown away by the how large the online chess community was. What really blew me away was that there were many characters and many I mean many High level players!! It was very easy to get lost in the incredible chess play. Quite Frankly, I was intimidated!
It turns out that I was not alone in this, so in short I decided to start streaming chess! before you know it I actually started to have viewers!! Viewers from all levels of chess and they all said the same thing, "It's so refreshing to see a beginner chess player streaming". Most importantly there were many viewers that felt comfortable because they could relate to the struggles of trying to figure this game out.
It's been over two years! that's right over TWO YEARS since I started streaming my "Journey". No real progress has been made. It's time to challenge myself and I want you to join me!! I can't do this alone!
