Chess.com is the WORST website for playing chess
Everyone has a limit of tolerance and when it is exceeded, it is unbearable. This is my last day at chess.com. I have been playing chess on this website for over a year, but I have had enough of its poor performance and frustrating features. Let me tell you why chess.com is the worst website for playing chess.
First of all, it is laggy. The moves take forever to register, the clock keeps ticking even when you have made your move, and sometimes the board freezes completely. This is not acceptable for a game that requires speed and accuracy. I have lost many games because of this lag, and it is not fair to me or my opponents.
Secondly, it keeps disconnecting between games. I have a high speed internet connection, so this is not a problem on my end. But chess.com seems to have trouble maintaining a stable connection with its servers. Sometimes I get kicked out of a tournament or a match without any warning, and other times I cannot join a new game because it says I am already in one. This is very annoying and frustrating, especially when I am on a winning streak or playing against a strong opponent.
Thirdly, it has many other flaws that make it a bad experience for chess players. For example, the rating system is flawed and inaccurate, the interface is cluttered and confusing, the chat function is full of trolls and spammers, the puzzles are repetitive and boring, and the premium membership is overpriced and not worth it.
I have tried to give chess.com a chance, but I have realized that it is not worth my time and money. There are many other websites that offer better quality and service for playing chess online. That is why I am leaving chess.com for good, and I advise you to do the same if you value your chess skills and enjoyment.
