An Intro to FM Kostya's Blog
I've been thinking about starting a consistent blog here on chess.com, but I'm not sure what I should write about..there's a lot about chess that can be explored!
I have no concrete reason or incentive, I simply enjoy the process of writing and fleshing out ideas as they come.
I'd like to hear from whomever is reading this -- what are you curious about? Please feel free to suggest any topic, but I have a few branches to choose from as well.
1) Chess Improvement -- There are so many resources nowadays (ranging from books to software to websites), the question is how does one navigate and find the most effective path to chess mastery?
2) Chess Psychology -- A huge number of potentially fascinating topics here as well, in no particular order: blunders, bluffing, double-blindness, prophylaxis, and many more.
3) The Scoop -- What's currently going on in the international chess scene? Is chess on the rise, making its way into the mainstream? Who's got the best chance of dethroning Magnus?
4) Openings -- Yes, everyone's favorite topic! My specialties include 1.d4 openings & the Open Sicilian, but fire away and I'll do my best to answer your queries (maybe a bi-weekly post answering as many opening questions my FM brain can handle).
Please let me know what you're interested in in the comments below, I hope this blog won't be a one-way street!
