PRO Chess League - Week 6 Recap: San Jose Defeats Las Vegas (Overturned Result)
After a hard-fought match with the Las Vegas Desert Rats finished with a score of 8.5-7.5 in favor of the Rats, the San Jose Hackers ended up winning the match after an overturned result, due to Chess.com's Fair Play Violations. At this point we are not at liberty to divulge any more details apart from that.
An unfortunate incident, but the good news is that this means the Hackers are now 4-2 and have clinched a spot in the playoffs (!), thanks to having the best tiebreaks in our division.
Next week we will be facing the divisional leaders, the Saint Louis Arch Bishops, who are led by World #2 Wesley So. The final match of the regular season will take place Wednesday, February 22, at 6:40 PM Pacific time, and it promises to be ultra-exciting!
