Interview With @Lightning!
Hello everyone and welcome to another one of my weekly blogs! This week, I am not writing about chess tips or concepts, instead I will be showing you all an interview with @Lightning! A extremely well known top blogger (I wish I have the title lol). Anyway, this is a 180 followers special so I hope you enjoy ![]()

Q/A
Me: 1. What inspired you to play chess?
Lightning: My cousins brought a chess board to our great-grandparent's house once and we played. They taught me how the pieces moved. They easily beat me, and my competitive self didn't like that very much. Soon enough, I joined a chess club, improved my play, and the next time I played with my cousins I easily won. So my cousins got me into chess, and my competitive nature took over from there.
Me: 2. Why do you enjoy writing blogs?
@Lightning: I enjoy writing blogs as it's something to do, and it's a way to share my thoughts, opinions, and experiences in the world of chess. It's also been good for connecting with others on the site. And it gives me more ways to interact with people. It's nice.
Me: 3. What tips would you suggest to members who just started writing blogs? (kinda like me)
@Lightning: I would suggest to write what you enjoy writing. Don't do something you don't enjoy, that gets boring. If you can, add some humor. Humor makes everything better. and be honest and relatable, too, that makes it easier for people to connect with you imo. The best top bloggers imo have that (and no, I don't consider myself amongst the best top bloggers
)
Me: 4. Can you tell us about yourself? (like your favorite hobbies, sports and stuff. Doesn't have to be personal.)
@Lightning: My favorite hobby is chess. Chess is what I do. Blogging counts as a hobby for me as well. I am a big fan of the NFL (National Football League) and waste lots of time doing stuff related to that. Yeah. I'm just a normal dude.
Me: 5. Can you tell me about your proudest achievement in chess except for being a top blogger?
@Lightning: My proudest achievement in chess? I dunno, probably representing my state in the Denker Tournament of High school Champions in 2019, 2021, and soon in 2022. I'm pretty proud of that.
That is all for this blog! Thank you so much for reading it, I really appreciated it and plus comment if you enjoyed this interview and learned something about @Lightning! I hope you have a nice day and feel free to give me a follow! Now see you next week!
