Hey everyone! Ryan's Awesome Blogs is back again! This time, I will take you through some games in the U.S. Championship Winner, GM Fabiano Caruana. I will also give some information regarding the tournament and the winner.
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
First of all, this tournament is Over-the-board, with 14 of the strongest players in America, and players will be battling for the U.S. Chess Champion title with a $250,000 prize. No doubt this tournament will be very appealing. Here are the pairings and the results.

And here you can see Fabi finished in first place, scoring a exceptional 8.5/13. His unbelievable success is also celebrated by chess.com on Twitter.

2 Cool Games
So, now let's take a look at some cool games Fabi played in the tournament against strong players and analyze how he won/drew a position using his amazing playing style.
R4, GAME AGAINST HANS NIEMAN:
So Fabi manages to beat Hans Nieman, which is an extremely impressive accomplishment, considering he defeats Magnus (Without cheating). Fabi did make some blunders. But overall, the game is splendid. And here, in round 4, Fabi is in first place with 3/4.

GAME AGAINST XIONG JEFFY:
The game itself isn't that exciting since both players are very strong. And Jeffy manages to use his defense well and keep his position solid so that Fabi can't infiltrate the position. However, this draw has earned Fabi a very solid standing in the tournament.
