What is the correct plan in an open center?

It is important to keep control of the central squares, it does not matter if you do it with pieces or pawns.

The correct plan for open center

1. You should attack in the center and try to occupy it with your pieces.

2. You should use your powerful center to attack in the middle or the king's side.

3. Continue your attack in the center or transfer it to the side.

4. It is NOT good to push a pawn as a defender because the position will get weaker if the opponent has a Knight or a bishop or both.

5. After dominating the open center. If you want to use opponent weakness you should slightly open the center in any way. Like trade a pawn.

6.NEVER leave hanging pieces. '' Means don't leave pieces unguarded ''
