How to play RooKing(I might be wrong here)
Newbie guide:
Since this is a WoF, the time control in not going to be slow, for each move just do the following:
1. Do an analysis about free pieces(or pawns)(0.5~1 sec when mastered)
2. Do an analysis about promotions for pawns, (1~2 sec when mastered)
3. In the endgame, do an analysis about tactics(1~2 sec when mastered)
So all in all, it will take on avreage 3.75 seconds each move, hence I recommend the time control 2min and 30s|2(D) or if you really like to rush things, then 30 sec
Beginner guide:
There are opening theroys: For readable-ness I will call the pawn on the rookside D pawn(D for defence) and the other A pawn(guess it yourself) for the SG's I'll call the one on the left A stone general, and vice versa. the ferz that can move on the first move is the delayer ferz, and the other the trapper ferz.
Opening 1: "Replacement Gambit"
In this game you gambit your A pawn to be stuck on the defence of the D pawn, while both stone generals attack. This gambit is very, very risky, first master all the basics to even use the gambit.
Moves: 1.A sg left 1 square, - 2. D sg left 1 square, - 3. A pawn right 1 square, -
Opening 2: "Berolina march"
In this opening your berolina (kind of) "wastes" a few moves, but it will pay of in the endgame, this opening is pretty beginner-friendly. The objective is to guard the square of Indirect koth.
Move: 1. A sg right 2 squares, - 2. B sideways right 1 square, - 3. B left 1 square, -
These are the openings I have found currently.
Intermediate guide:
How to deal with pawns: the trick is to choose pawns with inverted or same movement, for example to deal with an opposing pawn, use the berolina to chase it away, and another pawn or stone general to trap it.
Piece value: Berolina 1, pawn 1.2, stone general 1.5, knight 2.
