elo ratings

I have two ratings 930 and 1600 I don't know where my 1600 rating come from because never won aginst chess engine on 1600 setting. On dayli games I got opponant with 1600 rating that is hopeless for me, why is it the case,that my 1600 rating way over my present strenght in chess yet getting paired with similar strenght opponants
