Killer King exists!

We all know that a King can't approach another King, but Killer King exists in the achievements list.

You get it through a discovered Check, but first you need an opponent with no class, without the ability to give in, not willing to resign or accept a draw in a game despite an utterly lost position.

I got such an opponent last night. I captured every single one his pieces except his King and started marching him down the board with a 2nd Queen I had promoted. The process wasn't easy as I had to protect both Queens and the King that was waiting for him on the 8th rank, way to the side. I had to keep the opponent King in the center of the board.

Eventually though I walked his King to the 8th row and moved my last Queen to the 8th row behind my King. On my next turn I pulled that King to the 7th row for a Discovered Check. It counted as a Killer King in my achievement list.

In terms of playing the game there are only a couple of achievements that are harder. You can get a Checkmate by Discovery with a Castling move. I've never seen that on a video of a real game, but theoretically it can be done.

Checkmate can also by achieved with an En Passant move by a Pawn, Magnus Carlsen lost this way in a real 3 minute game. Levi covered it and did the commentary, and I'm stealing it.
