Blog 15 missing Cabbage

This is the time when my favorite plant—the cabbage—mysteriously vanished, and the hunt for the culprit behind the crime.

For context, my family has a big garden, and one of our favorite plants is cabbage. The garden takes a lot of work, so every morning I go out and check on it. This morning, though, was a bit different.

When I got there, there was one less cabbage. Now, this was a strong plant, so it didn’t just die. I looked around the nearby area and found no evidence of the missing plant. Strange, I thought. What was even stranger was that it happened again the next day… and the day after that.

Each day, I lost another plant. I thought maybe a mole or something took it. Maybe even my dog, Smokey. Heck, maybe my cat was mad at me. After a week, I was down to only two cabbages.

For a while, I had no idea what was taking them—until I caught my dog Smokey chewing on one of my cabbages. After seeing the look on my face, she ran faster than the wind with her tail between her legs.

The next year, we put up a fence, finally stopping the problem.
RIP cabbage. I didn’t know my dog was a vegetarian.
