Round 3!

Round 3 of the chess.com daily chess champs has just started. Rather to my surprise, I'm not hugely outclassed by my group, I'm 5th seed and more importantly there are only two players over 2k which I was surprised by.

46th group out of 47 in this round, meaning that the top player is 46th on the rating list and next is 49th, both around 2050, then the next pair are only 1930s. Though my rating has slipped from the heady heights it reached a year ago (how?) I can still give these guys a decent game on a good day.

I'm surprised how many players of significantly lower rating have made it this far. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it, though 22 games on a 24h schedule is tough given that I've got about 40 more already on the go (most of these are 3d fortunately).
