Which Chess Piece Would Make the Best Partner?
Hello everyone! Welcome back!
Today, as many of you know, is Valentine's Day, so I'm going to talk about one of the many things that I know absolutely nothing about: love.
Because of this, this post is likely going to be pretty cheesy, but hopefully it's fun to read at least!
If you were going to fall in love with a chess piece, who would it be?
Let's go through the pieces one by one.

The pawn is underappreciated. They may not look as nice as the other pieces, but they're really nice, and they try their best at pretty much everything they do.
Unfortunately, they'll bring their friends along to your dates! They also have a lot of friends-when you tell your family, they all know about the Pawn, and they all give scarily accurate opinions about your new friend!
Ultimately, the Pawn is strong, consistent, and hard-working. They have a lot of friends, but none of them are rich or powerful.
The Knight is perfect in every way. He's totally confident. Everywhere he goes, it's obvious he knows what he's doing, and he's so good at improvising that he can keep up the facade.
For looks, he's stunning. He shows up to date in a sharp suit and sharper sunglasses, and when he talks, he sounds like a professional actor.
There's only one slight problem. The Knight loves action, but he doesn't really think about what he's doing. He wants to be in the center of the action all the time, and he'll jump into anything without thinking about it.
He also flirts with other girls, and you can't tell if he's just joking...
The Bishop is a thinker. She's really pretty, but she's always buried in a book. She's really quiet and subtle, and she loves to plan things.
She's not likely to do anything crazy without asking you about it, but she also sometimes feels a little condescending. She's kinda distant too, but that's OK.
She'll be good with taxes and shopping lists, but maybe not for raising a rambunctious toddler.
The Rook is more similar to the pawn than the bishop or knight. He's really reliable and very straightforward. He doesn't mess around, and he doesn't dawdle. The rook gets where it's going quickly and efficiently.
He's very outwardly confident, but not in the brash way the knight is. You know he's there to support you all the time.
However, he's a little too straightforward. He often is incapable of thinking about a problem from more than one angle, but that's also a good thing because he follows through with his decisions and pays attention to you.
The king is an all-around great guy. He's super outgoing and confident as well. He knows what he's doing, and despite his slower outlook on life and his quiet demeanor, he's a natural leader.
He's actually somewhat of a celebrity because he's the king and he's led his army into many successful battles. He's at his best with his fans, and he keeps everyone in the room happy. He's good at coming up with creative ideas.
He's never distant, even though he has so many responsibilities, and he's happy with his lot in life.
Finally, we have the Queen. The queen is quite the personality. She's been popular with everyone since she was only a little girl, but she's also nice, and she enjoys everyone. She's a kind extrovert to the people she's around.
She's also more than she seems. She's rather fierce, and if she ever tried to push someone around, she could do it. She's an expert at getting her way, even if she doesn't use it for nefarious ends.
She knows she's the most powerful piece, and she'll use that information to her advantage, but she also never fails to defend as many of her allies as she can.
So, who would you pick? I’d probably go with the bishop. Let me know in the comments!
May your tactics stay sharp.
