Politics and Chess
Voted for the first time in my life today. If you have viewed my profile then you know that I am 32 about to turn 33. Now before this election I could have cared less, but now after 8 years of what most think to be the worst, and a few who think the best president in years; I finally decided to get up off of my dead ass and vote. I am glad that this chess match is almost over. I have watched more news on politics that I care to admit. I just hope that when it is over chess.com removes this bobble head I keep looking at to the right of my screen. The reason I voted was not some deep complex political b.s. reason. I just think that our country needs a visual change to the rest of the world. No I'm not going to give you my opinion on (not yet anyway) of our current Mr. Bush, but I do believe that for many in the rest of the world; if our country doesn't make some major changes it won't be long until our country is loosing its own chess match. Don't get me wrong. I didn't just vote for that reason, and no I'm not dumb enough to believe that voting a black man into office is all it's going to take to change how this country is viewed, but I do feel its a great start. Also understand that its not just the rest of the world who need to see us differently, but many of us here in the U.S.
