The Norway Chess 2025 tournament is leaving the Norwegian Magnus Carlsen as the star of the show, the protagonist of numerous controversies so far in the competition.

Carlsen left us with an unprecedented image on Monday, banging the board with clear angry gestures after losing to the Indian Dommaraju Gukesh and waving his hands after this painful defeat.
This Tuesday, Carlsen recovered from his defeat against Gukesh with a victory against the American Hikaru Nakamura, an opponent he has his measure of in classical games, as the Norwegian's record is 14 wins and one loss (and another 30 games that ended in draws) in this type of competition. However, he had to wait for a tiebreak to take the victory.
This Tuesday's match could have been the last between Carlsen and Nakamura, as the Norwegian hinted after the game. “This may have been my last classical chess game against Hikaru. Honestly, I don't like playing classical games anymore.”
