Driver's License

So at the request of @hogglaw commenting on my Mom's facebook post, I was asked to post about getting my driver's license.

So,I turned 16 on May 17th. That means in the State of Alabama, you are allowed to test for your license. I have to admit,I was more nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

So,this past Monday, the 22nd,I went to the Dothan AL State Trooper's office to test. I was called back, did some paperwork, and then came testing time.

I had a nice examiner who led the pre-trip inspection (check headlights, blinkers, parking brake, and brake lights. Then I was told to go to a yield sign, turn right at the stop sign. Then I had to do a emergency stop. After that,I had to back straight up until I was told to stop. I then proceeded to a stop sign and made a left when clear, then made the first left into a parking lot. There,I had to pull to the right as far as I could w/o hitting the curb. Then I was to do everything I was supposed to do to leave the car except turn off the car (uphill with a curb: put in park, activate parking brake, cancel signal, and turn wheels all the way to the left). I then did a 3 point turn. I then was told to head back to the State Trooper's office.

Now did I pass:Yes with a rare score,a 100%.

So I'll leave you by telling you to be safe out there,

P.S My license picture was awful,so I'm not going to show it to you
